“Maggie’s greatest joy in life is using her gift to help others.”

Maggie Garbarini

Maggie Garbarini, world-renowned psychic, was born in Romford, Essex, England on April 27, 1936. Her mother died just after Maggie was born. She says she remembers coming through the birth canal. Her father was black Irish and a descendant of Spanish gypsies. With the death of her mother, Maggie’s father’s hands were full with raising her two older brothers, so Maggie went to live with her aunt and uncle who became parents to her, but it fell to her psychic grandmother, Sarah, to become the main influence that encouraged the development of Maggie’s psychic abilities.

At age 3, Maggie had her first ‘vision’. She and her grandmother were in the garden one summer afternoon and saw three soldiers coming toward them. The next morning, three German soldiers were found hanging by their hair from trees in the woods. Grandmother Sarah explained to little Maggie that they had been communicating with those soldiers’ souls on the previous afternoon.

A few months after that first vision, Hitler’s war machine began the bombing of London. Maggie spent the next 6 years living through wartime London with food rationing, wearing gas masks at school along with her Wellington boots and wool coat. To this day damp wool and damp earth invoke vivid memories for her.

WWII, as one can imagine, had a dramatic effect on the impressionable consciousness of young Maggie. Living through the London blitz, she spent a great deal of time in air-raid shelters. Her uncle would serve thick black tea with condensed milk while her aunt would read stories from English literature to her and the neighborhood children to bring a sense of security. During this time, her grandmother’s house was bombed. Fortunately, grandmother Sarah was staying with them.

In spite of her awful nightmares and frequent sleep-walking, Maggie was a very happy, easy-going child. She sang in the church choir and had a natural gift in musical and theatrical performance. People in the town of Hemel Hempstead were quite taken with her and they all accepted that she was the little girl with visions.

After the war, Maggie moved to the village of North Holmwood and into a 900-year-old house called Royston Cottage, which is of great historical interest because it was recorded in the Domesday Book – the record of the initial survey of England completed in 1086 by King William I (aka William The Conqueror), to determine taxes owed by the people. It had been built by a man named Daniel Neale, whose spirit at times still haunted it. He would appear in the guest room and shake the beds of the people he didn’t like. He didn’t scare Maggie though. He would appear to her when she was in the house alone and play the piano for her.

During the summer of her 12th year, she traveled with her Aunt Betsy – her birth father’s sister – and her cousins in a gypsy caravan. Her grandmother Sarah gave her the famous deck of cards that she still uses to this day and taught her how to ‘deukker the mush’, or do a psychic reading. Her Aunt Betsy would set up an open-air market at various fairgrounds and sell Persian rugs and Crown Derby china while Maggie gave readings. In the evenings, they would entertain themselves with fiddles and flamenco dancing.

At age 11, Maggie was accepted at Covent Garden to train for the opera and then at age 15 she entered the prestigious Webber-Douglas Academy for the Performing Arts to study voice and acting for the theatre. While there, she continued to give readings for her peers. She roomed with Ann Rye, who dabbled in astrology, then went on to become a successful professional actress. Webber-Douglas’ famous alumni include Terrance Stamp, Angela Lansbury, Julian Fellowes, Julia Ormond, Minnie Driver and Eva Green, amongst others. The performing arts, being arduous and stringent, require absolute dedication. As gifted as she was, Maggie wasn’t keen on the strict discipline of it all. She did go on tour throughout England from ages 17 to 20 where she met her first husband John Prince and within 4 years she was married with 2 children. She has a strong belief in destiny and watched her life unfold in this new direction for the next 15 years.

After her marriage ended and her daughters stayed with their father, she returned to her theatrical roots by moving to Crieff in Scotland where her old Webber-Douglas friend, Ann Rye was living. Ann was part of the theatre there, Maggie joined her and continued to give psychic readings.

In the Gypsy tradition, when a picture falls off the wall, it’s time for a change. One night, while in the little house in Crieff, with freezing rain pelting the windows as she sat in the chilled room, she looked up and a picture fell off the wall. She thought ‘now I have to go somewhere–there’s a change coming into my life.’ Los Angeles came into her head.

She put Los Angeles into her consciousness as she went to sleep that night thinking that if it is meant to be, if she is to move to there, she would have a ‘yes’ sensation when she woke up. She awoke up in the middle of the night and her tiny bedroom was filled with light. There was an angelic being at the foot of the bed. She asked: ‘Is it right for me to go to Los Angeles?’ It was as though warm angelic arms enfolded her, which felt like a ‘yes’ answer. Before leaving for Los Angeles, she consulted with astrologer Frederick Davis. Since she didn’t know the exact time of her birth, he gave her a Pisces ascendant. As a result, he told her that LA would be a great place for her to go, thereby corroborating her confirmation from the angelic presence in Crieff.

Shortly after arriving, Maggie suffered a devastating accident. She was hit by a truck and spent 5-1/2 months in the hospital, which caused her to question her decision to move to Los Angeles. The doctors told her that she would be partially paralyzed for the rest of her life—a prognosis she did not accept. The hospital saved her life, but she proceeded to heal her body with the help of alternative medicine, herbs, and spiritual practice.

Meaning of Maggie’s Angel

The pink gardenia inside the angel was originally designed by Maggie’s great love–her husband David who died 28 years ago. Through a printing error the gardenia ended up pink and subsequently became a logo for “Maggie’s Heavenly Facial Creams”.

The angel is a messenger of God and with the pink gardenia in the heart chakra is sending love, light and healing to the soul.

Soon after, she established herself as a professional psychic. She met Helene Woodman, a famous astrologer, who revised her ascendant to Scorpio and told her that she would have advised her not to move to Los Angeles because it would have been disastrous. Helene also introduced Maggie to one of her students—David Garbarini. David became her second husband. Maggie and David united their gifts and built an extensive client base that she maintains to this day. Maggie’s retrospective observation is that she went to the right astrologer in the first place. Again, destiny played its part in Maggie’s life.

She continues to give readings and lectures all over the world. She has been a featured guest on radio programs and the subject of many magazine articles, has written a book and her life is the subject of a Hollywood documentary in development.

In addition to her prodigious psychic abilities, Maggie is an herbalist. She is also a minister of the Universal Life Church through which she is authorized to perform weddings, baptisms, and funerals. Her consultations extend to jury selection, business decisions, health matters, finances, affairs of the heart—she now reads for the children she predicted would be born.

For the past 25 years, Maggie has had a very successful partnership as a visiting Psychic and Lecturer with the prestigious Miraval Resort & Spa in Arizona. She travels to Miraval monthly from her home in Los Angeles to give readings and lectures on the metaphysical approach to life—a natural union for Miraval’s guests many of whom are seeking to add a holistic, rejuvenating, and spiritual aspect to their lives.

In August 2024, Maggie will be moving to Jaipur India to live with her daughter Catherine at her home in Jaipur and where she expects to continue to have many adventures!

A consultation with Maggie allows the individual’s consciousness to expand to meet his or her future and fulfill their destiny. It will bring the security of knowing what to expect and what to change in order to align oneself for the best possible outcome in his or her life.
